Momstyle: post-baby wardrobe part 2

Momstyle: post-baby wardrobe part 1
It's never the most fun to dress yourself post-baby. I refuse to wear my maternity clothes that I've been stuck in for months but I don't want to buy an entire wardrobe for these next few months so I took $75 and bought a few summer "uniforms" that will be able to still be worn when the baby weight is gone.
Maxi dresses are ideal right now because they are comfortable for my days around the house but can be dressed up for a day or evening out. Pairing this maxi with a shirt that ties in a place to give me a waist again makes it the perfect transitional piece.

Momstyle: on repeat
Maternity clothes are almost in full swing around here (no more cheating with rubber bands holding zippers closed-tmi). My staples are my MK bag, skinny jeans, flats and trying to wear those last few non-maternity pieces I can still get into, like my denim jacket! Having a go-to uniform gets me out of yoga pants and pj's.

Momstyle: bright spots
| (Top- borrowed :); Leggings- American Apparel; Boots- Target; Necklaces- Francesca's and F21; Bracelet- JCrew) |
There are some real bright spots of pregnancy: feeling your baby kick, having cars actually stop in the parking lot to let you pass, letting strangers rub your belly (ok, not my favorite). One bright spot this pregnancy was a sweet friend with stellar style loaning me some prego clothing. Loving this pop of color in my wardrobe and grateful for the generosity of a friend.

Momstyle: vacation from my vacation
Last week was strange! After 3 weeks away in Arizona, California and Hilton Head and being husband-less, it was hard to remember what normal life is like. By the time Dave made it home Wednesday morning (12:30am to be exact) and finally recovered from jet lag by Friday we knew we needed to try to get away for a bit.
We found a great business hotel (Hyatt House) in town that is discounted on the weekends and a sweet friend to watch Graham and we took off.
I know Dave was most thrilled to get to take a "momstyle" set of pictures for me ;)

Momstyle: Bright pants
Bright pants are everywhere so I'm pulling out my pants purchased four years ago (don't you love when a trend sticks around for a bit). I'm loving bright colors paired with textured tops!
You can create a similar look below. Just click on the links!

Momstyle: navy stripes
(Top: american apparel; skirt: jcrew outlet; shoes:macy's sale; necklace: francesca's 99 cents bin)
I've talked about "uniforms" before...you know, outfits you wear over and over, year after year. I'm not sure i could own too many navy striped shirts. In the fall and winter, I pair them with sweaters, jackets and blazers and in the spring and summer I love how navy stripes work with so many looks: classic, nautical, preppy, patriotic etc.
What is your favorite navy stripe pairing?
