Purchase of the Week: Nespresso U

Technically, not a purchase but rather a Christmas gift but I am LOVING owning an espresso machine. It is fun to have for hosting and I am telling myself that it will save me some money and keep me from running to Starbucks when I crave a latte or a machiatto.  Simple to use and so delicious.

Purchase of the Week: Rice Crispy "gingerbread" house

I realize Christmas is over (this is my final holiday post) but I had to share this discovery!

These were a much bigger hit in our house than gingerbread has been in the past.

Just an idea to tuck away for next year!
Now off to put away the Christmas decor :(.

*One disclaimer: Graham did throw up after eating his rice crispy house.  Hey, you know I like to keep it real on the blog!

Purchase of the Week: Skin Care

I have always been a "splash some water on my face before bed" kind of low maintenance girl until recently when I noticed that those dark circles under my eyes aren't fading and having breakouts at age 27 is quite a nuisance. A couple recent finds that are changing my skin for the better (and are cheaper than a facial).

Non-greasy, lightweight moisturizer. A little goes along way. Part of the Philosophy line. For combination skin (they do have one for dry skin as well)

A weekly cranberry enzyme 10-minute facial mask that makes it look like you just had a facial. When I had a Groupon facial recently, this was used on me and now I can do my own facial at home.

Illuminating foundation primer. Yes, it's an extra step before putting on tinted moisturizer or foundation but it makes your make-up last longer, go farther and look more "lightweight"

Oh the eye cream. I can't believe I'm old enough to need this. This stuff is expensive but will probably last me a year. Use right before bed. Reduces puffiness, dark circles, lines, etc.

Let me know your favorite products too!

Purchase of the Week: New Target Love

If you know me, you know that I LOVE Target. I cannot get out of that store without spending at least $40. My new love are the toys in the dollar section. Toys are so overpriced so when I want to get Graham a little somethin' this is my new go-to. Here's what we found this week.
Any other Target-lovers out there?

I am very excited that H&M and F21 now have affordable, adorable maternity lines!
For local readers, maternity lines are carried at both stores in Crabtree Mall.

Purchase of the Week: Giant Dog

The best part of this POW is that it was not purchased but WON at the Fair in Orange County by my fantastic brother in law Brian Jones!!

It has been non-stop entertainment for the little man. I always thought giant stuffed animals were a waste of money but I am reconsidering this viewpoint after this...
