On a Personal Note: ADD Reading

I have not been diagnosed with ADD. However, when it comes to reading (and I love to read) I absolutely cannot stay focused on one book for too long. I've found a solution! I am currently reading 4 books but I read them at different times of day. Here's how it works:

Bittersweet by Shauna Niequist is a great way to start the day. I read as part of my time with the Lord. Each chapter is short and sweet and food for thought about change, grief, motherhood, friendship, etc.

My bathroom reading (sorry if that is tmi) is Psychology in the Spirit by Todd Hall and John Coe. This book explores how Psychology and Spiritual Formation intersect.

My coffee shop reading is A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis. I have yet to read a C.S. Lewis book that doesn't make me laugh and cry and think deeply. This book is a refreshingly honest look at the grief and questions he asked after his wife's death and the answers he found.
Finally, I end the day with my bedtime reading Finding Calcutta by Mary Poplin (not Poppins). This was great birthday gift from a dear friend. It is written by an American woman who spent time working with the ministry of Mother Teresa and what she saw first hand that changed her forever.
