Bittersweet by Shauna Niequist is a great way to start the day. I read as part of my time with the Lord. Each chapter is short and sweet and food for thought about change, grief, motherhood, friendship, etc.
My coffee shop reading is A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis. I have yet to read a C.S. Lewis book that doesn't make me laugh and cry and think deeply. This book is a refreshingly honest look at the grief and questions he asked after his wife's death and the answers he found.
Finally, I end the day with my bedtime reading Finding Calcutta by Mary Poplin (not Poppins). This was great birthday gift from a dear friend. It is written by an American woman who spent time working with the ministry of Mother Teresa and what she saw first hand that changed her forever.
