The David Crowder Band just released its final cd as a band (landing in the top ten chart at #2 next to Adele). Dave and I were at their final concert and had a hard time not having tears about this era coming to an end. Their music has been a huge part of our spiritual formation as people and has put words to some of our most private and painful moments. How amazing is it that God gives us giftings that help build up others around us? Sometimes I feel like David Crowder is such a pastor in my life...leading me back to Jesus over and over again. This weekend, through this house-buying process, Dave and I have seen some of our "not so favorite" sides of each other and the lyrics to these particular songs have been reminding us of two main truths: what we really need is Jesus' redemption in us and only He can really change our hearts.
